  Story

  Loetje is a small restaurant chain based in the Netherlands, that is specialised in serving steaks. Due to their success in the past months they agreed on a new website, merchandise, an iPhone app and some more stuff.

  During the development I attached importance to easy information management in the backend. There is a plugin for associating a location with each site, for the usage in the Google-Maps API and for creating Facebook events, a menucard manager, media tags for integrating certain kinds of images in the sidebar, et cetera.

  Story

  Aan het park casting is (or was) a small casting agency from the Netherlands based in Amsterdam. The website was their business card for the online world.

  Due to the fact that the company owner doesn’t need any content management functionality the site is basically just some php-code to handle translations and requested pages in conjunction with some mod_rewrite rules for the Apache webserver.

  Story

  JAKE Digital Branding is a company I worked for from early september 2010 to may 2011. Their portfolio featured websites, apps for mobile devices and corporate identities.

  Work on the site has been finished, but in consequence of a tight schedule, some things were a little hackish.

  Story

  Digital Musician is a website where music artists can work together and collaborate on projects.

  Unfortunately this project was in poor condition when I started working on it. My contributions, mostly CSS fixes, felt like hacks rather than good code. However my employer was happy about the changes because they were able to go online with the site after I finished my work.

  Tipsytalk is/was an app for iPhone and Android devices and part of a government funded campaign against alcohol abuse in the Netherlands.

  The website’s only purpose was to promote these apps.

  Story

  farbsound is a simple audio player that can be attached to any website by using a bookmarklet and will play all music files linked on a page

  Story

  KOP Berlin is a non-governmental organisation that fights against racial profiling and sexual and racial discrimination committed by the police. The campaign is taking care of public relation, demonstrations, charity events and counselling of victims.

  KOP is a matter of personal importance to me. I take part in our camps where we discuss our self-conception and direction and I’m involved in almost everything that is technically related to our website and email infrastructure.

  Story

  kritisch-lesen is a book-review page that covers several leftist topics like feminism, racism, art, work, etc. A new issue focussing on a single subject is published every three months.

  The website is based on the popular symfony 2 PHP framework. It’s search engine is powered by elasticsearch.

  I am currently working on a responsive redesign, and several technical extensions to the underlying platform including media management, ping- and trackback integration and some other things.

  Story

  k4ever is a web-based EPoS system for the Freitagsrunde, one of the boards of students for the faculty of computer science and electrical engineering at the TU Berlin.

  I took care of markup, theme design, theme implementation and active content, but practically left the project after the first version was deployed.
